Users

A user is a member account. Open a user at https://core.mlhtools.com/resources/users.

Editable fields

  • First name / Last name: the member's name.
  • Claimed: whether the account has been claimed by the member.
  • Internal: whether this is an internal MLH account.

Linked records (tabs on the user): profile, emails, phone numbers, addresses, school enrollments, employments, challenge submissions, social profiles, Discord roles, entitlements, suspensions, and promo codes.

:::info Maintainer note Clarify what Claimed and Internal mean operationally and when staff would change them, and what "impersonate" is used for. :::

Participations

A participation records a user's involvement in a specific event. Open at https://core.mlhtools.com/resources/participations.

  • Status: one of applied, rejected, accepted, registered, checked in, or canceled.
  • Source: how the participation was created — ohq, manual import, csvifier, flatfile, avo upload, or csv upload. (Most participations arrive via imports.)
  • Registered at / Checked in at: the participation timestamps.
  • Email: the email associated with the participation.
  • Custom fields: additional participation data.

:::info Maintainer note Explain when staff edit a participation's Status by hand vs. letting an import set it, and what each status means downstream (e.g. does checked in gate swag or scoring?). :::
