Fellowship

The fellowship resources manage applications, the tracks people apply to, the pods (cohorts) they join, and their enrollments. Find them under https://core.mlhtools.com/resources/ (/fellowship_applications, /fellowship_tracks, /fellowship_pods, /fellowship_enrollments).

:::info Maintainer note Add the operator workflow: how an applicant moves from application → track selection → enrollment into a pod, who does the placing, and what each enrollment stage means for stipends and access. :::

How the pieces fit together

  1. A member submits a fellowship application and selects one or more tracks (recorded as track selections).
  2. The member is placed into a pod through a fellowship enrollment.
  3. Each pod offers one or more tracks (linked through pod tracks).

Fellowship applications

An application belongs to a user and a series, has a CRM owner, and links to its track selections and selected tracks.

Fellowship tracks

A track has a Name, a Description, and belongs to a program. It links to the applications that selected it and the pods that offer it.

Fellowship pods

A pod is a cohort:

  • Name, Pod number, and Nickname.
  • Meeting time, Meeting days, and Meeting time zone.
  • Programming languages.
  • Series and Pod leader.
  • Salesforce ID.

Fellowship enrollments

An enrollment places a member in a pod:

  • Enrollment stage: enrolled, in progress, graduated, or dropped.
  • GitHub handle and GitLab handle.
  • Stipend amount and Stipend currency.
  • General notes and Salesforce ID.
  • Links to the user, application, pod, and series.
