Event sponsorships

An event sponsorship connects a company to a specific event. It is also the place where sponsored challenges are attached to the event. Open at https://core.mlhtools.com/resources/event_sponsorships.

Fields​

  • Company: the sponsoring company.
  • Title: an optional title. If left blank, the sponsorship is shown as "Company x Event".
  • Call to Action Text and Call to Action URL: the button text and link shown for the sponsor.
  • Type: the sponsorship type.
  • Event: the event this sponsorship is for.
  • Event challenges: the challenges attached under this sponsorship.
  • Promo codes: promo codes associated with the sponsorship.

Attach challenges to an event from a sponsorship​

From the event sponsorships list you can use the Create Challenges action to attach an existing challenge to one or more selected sponsorships:

  1. In Avo, open the Event Sponsorships resource.
  2. Select the sponsorship(s) you want to attach a challenge to.
  3. Run the Create Challenges action and choose an existing challenge.
  4. Confirm. An event challenge is created for each selected sponsorship, linking that challenge to the sponsorship's event.

To remove a sponsorship and its challenges, use the Delete with Challenges action. It permanently deletes the selected sponsorship(s), their event challenges, and any hacker bookmarks on those event challenges — but it does not delete the underlying challenge records.
