Attach a challenge to an event

Challenges and events are linked by an event challenge record. Creating a challenge on its own does not put it on an event — you attach it to an event through an event challenge (https://core.mlhtools.com/resources/event_challenges).

Two ways to attach a challenge​

Use the Create Challenges action on the event sponsorship. It creates an event challenge for each selected sponsorship, linking the challenge to that sponsorship's event in one step.

Directly, via an event challenge​

  1. In Avo, open the Event Challenges resource and create a new record.
  2. Set the fields below.
  3. Save.

Event challenge fields​

  • Challenge (required): the challenge to attach.
  • Event sponsorship (required in the form): the sponsorship this challenge is offered under. It must belong to the same event as the event challenge.
  • Event: the event the challenge is attached to. When you start from a sponsorship, this defaults to the sponsorship's event.
  • Starts on / Ends on: an optional date range for when the challenge runs at the event.

Each challenge can be attached to a given event only once.
